Celebrate recovery

We are believers in Jesus Christ who recognize the struggle with the chaos of our lives. Through Celebrate Recovery we are accessing Christ’s power in our lives to overcome our issues of anger, grief, alcoholism, guilt and shame, financial loss, divorce, dysfunction families, sexual abuse, drug abuse, eating disorders and many more!

You can join us weekly, on Sunday nights at 5:30pm in our Sanctuary. Meal starts at 4:45pm and services start at 5:30pm, Open share groups and Crosstalk Cafe follow.

The Landing

The Landing is Celebrate Recovery’s student ministry geared towards Teens. This curriculum is designed to mirror the same material as the adult Celebrate Recovery curriculum, only packaged for students.

The Landing exists to provide a safe place for our students to process life and the struggles that accompany it, provide tools to help them live emotionally and spiritually healthy lives, and point them towards the freedom found in Jesus Christ.

Purpose Statement

The purpose of Celebrate Recovery is to serve God by reaching out to others so we can step out of denial into God’s grace, take an honest and spiritual inventory that will help us get right with God, ourselves and others, and allows us to grow in Christ while helping others.

Perhaps you are wondering why Celebrate Recovery is so successful in thousands of churches across the land and around the world. There are 7 features that make it unique:

  • Celebrate Recovery is based on God’s Word, the Bible.
  • Celebrate Recovery is forward looking.
  • Celebrate Recovery emphasizes personal responsibility.
  • Celebrate Recovery emphasizes spiritual commitment to Jesus Christ.
  • Celebrate Recovery utilizes the biblical truth that we need each other in order to grow spiritually and emotionally.
  • Celebrate Recovery addresses all types of habits, hurts and hang-ups.
  • Celebrate Recovery is a leadership factory.

Is Celebrate Recovery for me?

Celebrate Recovery offers a person the opportunity to participate in a group fellowship where love and hope combine with God’s purpose to mend our lives. Ask yourself:

  • Are there things in my life that I do that hurt others?
  • Is there something I wish I could live without?
  • Is it time to crack my denial and admit I am not in control of my life?
  • Do I have a painful habit or hang-up from which I need to be freed?

If you answered “yes” to any of these statements then we urge you to attend a Celebrate Recovery meeting to see if it is for you.

Does it cost anything to attend?

Celebrate Recovery does not charge for this ministry, however, there is a small cost for the meal. Free-will offerings are received on Sunday evenings . Our Celebrate Recovery is self-supporting. Workbooks are utilized in the Step Studies and are available at the Resource Table on Sunday evenings

Do I have to be a member of First Baptist Church of seminole to attend?

No, Celebrate Recovery is a ministry for anyone who is interested in a Christ centered recovery program that will enable them to recover from life’s hurts, hang-ups habits and addictions. There are attendees who are not members and/or do not attend FBC Seminole. You are welcomed by our loving fellowship of believers to visit with us on Sunday mornings at 10:45 a.m.
