Portland partnership

Meet the hoffmans

Paul and Kristen were married in 2011. They have two awesome children, Addison and Wesley, and the coolest Lab mix ever, Ellie.

They were called from the work they were doing as associate pastor and support staff at a church plant in Tennessee. Much of their life together has been spent involved in church planting in various roles and responsibilities. So when the Holy Spirit began to move in their hearts to plant a new work in Portland, Ore., they were ready to answer the call. Having participated in a variety of church plants, they are well equipped and molded for the task the Lord has given us.

They live lives that focus on welcoming people to belong and believe just as we see that Jesus did in His earthly ministry. It is their heart to see a movement of the gospel take place that would facilitate a magnificent awakening beginning in Portland and spreading contagiously to the ends of the earth.

With over 2.6 million people living in the metro area, Portland is a large city that needs a large number of churches. Unfortunately, there’s a weak evangelical presence in the city, that leaves many non-Christians untouched by the gospel. Local church planters are seeking help in their dilemma. The Hoffman are just one family of those planters. There is one Southern Baptist Convention church for every 27,399 metro Portland residents, in Oklahoma there is one church for every 1,400 residents. Hear from Paul Himself...
