Why Join A Small Group?

At FBC Seminole we call our small groups Sunday School. This is a time for smaller groups within the church to gather for fellowship, prayer, conversation, and bible study. In these small groups you will gather with people close to your age and life stage. These small group gatherings are perfect for times of sincere encouragement, expressions of love, and deep discovery of truth from God’s Word. Sunday School meets at 9:30am every Sunday morning at the church.

Why Join a Church?

At FBC Seminole we believe that church membership is a great expression of unity, commitment, and cooperation within the body of Christ. Being a member of a local church is a public testimony of the value we place on Jesus Christ and His mission to reach people and serve people in the community. Those who have trusted Jesus and Jesus alone for salvation and have demonstrated believers’ baptism are welcome for church membership.

Baptism

Why Should I Be Baptized?

Baptism is a public testimony of a person’s obedience and identification with Christ. Jesus Himself was baptized and His Word (the Bible) calls on all those who have trusted Him as Savior to also be baptized. Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer's faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Saviour, the believer's death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus. It is a testimony to his faith in the final resurrection of the dead.
